A special thanks

Thanks to all of you who attended the recent fundraiser at my home.  It was good to see so many friends having a good time.  We had over 200 people at this event enjoying the good weather and catching up with the latest Charles County news.  This was a cross section of Charles County, with involved citizens, government officials, and unions represented.

I would like to thank Delegate Sally Jameson, Commissioner Rueben Collins, Sheriff Rex Coffey, Clerk of the Court Sharon Hancock, Orphan’s Court Judges Frank Lancaster and Warren Bowie, Circuit Court Judge Helen Harrington, Board of Education Members Charles Carrington and Maura Cook, Senator Cardin’s Southern Maryland Representative Hammad Matin, and Democratic Central Committee members Gene Davies and Vincent Ippolito for making time to attend this event.

A special treat was the performance by the Encore Kids from the Port Tobacco Players.  They have great poise and talent and I appreciated the support you gave our local youth.

Of course, it would not have been successful without the hard work by the dedicated volunteers; many of them have supported me for a long time.  The volunteers prepared all of the home-cooked Southern Maryland food, and it must have been very good as there was little left at the end of the day.

We hope to get pictures up on the website soon.
