During the interim – June through December – I will not be writing on a daily basis about my activities. I still will keep up my activities attending meetings, meeting with constituents, and representing you on issues that arise.
However, like most of you, I also intend to enjoy my home, see my daughters and grandchildren as much as possible, work in my garden, and take a few trips. For that reason, I would not be able to post a timely blog.
As issues arise, please contact me as I want to hear your views. In the Fall I will start working on legislation issues for the coming session in 2010. Please keep me informed if you see an issue that you want to support or if you think some issues need to be opposed. I welcome all views.
Thanks for your support!

Wow! Opening Night at the Blue Crabs – I attended with my daughter, Katie and son-in-law, John and the apple of my eye – Bryce. My little guy wanted to go down on the field to play with the big boys. He had brought along his mitt but soon wanted one of those big fingers to wave. Of course, he got one and proceeded to dance in the aisle to the beat of “Move It, Move It.” Hilarious – but lots of fun!

If you don’t have grandchildren, I heartedly recommend that you borrow some right away. With no pride at all, I can tell you that mine are wonderful, beautiful and handsome, and much loved! For those of you who I have not seen, here are some more Maddie pictures!

I have a new grandchild: Madeline!
Madeline joins our family courtesy of my daughter, Molly, and Patrick Morris. She arrived at 8 pm and weighed 7 pounds and was 19 inches long. She is a beauty.

Baby Madeline and mother Mollie.
