Mr. Hocker,

Thank you for letting me know of your interest in this proposal. There are some outstanding issues related to it that must be considered further. We do not want others to come in and vote down the proposal without our having the opportunity to make improvements to it first. Due to the timing of when it came in, the County Commissioners and the Charles County Delegation will need to work together to make it a more comprehensive plan for next year’s legislative session. This is one drawback of having only 90 days in Annapolis to complete our business.

Thank you for supporting legislation requiring schools to be proactive in preventing bullying and gangs. Also for supporting the Interstate Compact helps to ease school transfers for children of military families.

Please help and support the meidicaid adult dental programs. These cuts are devastating and people are going to end up in the emergency.

I had the pleasure of attending the MS presentation at Civista and was so happy to see that You sent Cheryl LeJeune and Julie Vanderslice. The hardest thing about MS is first finding out and understanding what it is as well as how devastating this disease can be. I was diagnosised in the year 2000 I believe, it seems like the years have just run together and it has been a journey.
I want to thank you for taking the time to speak to Marjorie and myself this summer. I hope to see you in early spring for MS Annapolis day.

My Son is a GSMS 2010 8th grader and I had the privilege and honor of attending the 8th grade promotion ceremony this morning. Your speech was personally touching for me and I felt it was something my son needed to hear. My husband and I pray that our son will rise to your challenge and embrace his freshman year. I would like to thank Delegates Murphy and Levy for their support of this event and their efforts over the years to improve the art center. I have always felt that MCAC is one of Charles County’s Hidden Secrets, and everyone who discovers it walks away a better county citizen enriched with the sense that the local visual arts scene is alive and thriving. As a veteran Charles Ccouty art teacher of 32 years, I can attest to the excitement created by this particular show for our students and their friends and family. A big thank you to our county government, the staff at MCAC and the employees of our local school system for lending their support for the wonderful work that our art students create each and every school day in the Charles County School System.

I live just around the corner from you, and have seen you speak at a couple of functions.

Let me say that i FULLY support the efforts to protect the Bay, and particularly the critical and delicate Mattawoman.

PLEASE continue to speak for future generations by opposing unchecked and ill-considered ‘growth’ which does not respect and preserve our environment.

Thanks Peter. I am glad to see that at least one of our legislative delegation is on board with the President, Senator Cardin of MD and Governor Tim Kaine, DNCC head in supporting initiatives to preserve the Chesapeake Bay and opposing the efforts to denigrate it as this Cross County Connector would. The Chesapeake Bay is not only a treasure to all the citizens of Maryland, but to the Nation as well as the President has recently proclaimed. Therefore efforts to denigrate it by other The local Democratic Party officials are incomprehensible and out of step with the party on a statewide and National level. Be sure that I will be out with my fellow Organizae For America members to ensure your electorial victory next fall so that you can continue to represent the citzens of the Western half of Charles County.
