Murphy Scholarship Awards for 2010

Eight high school seniors in Charles County were awarded $1,000 scholarships for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year from Delegate Peter Murphy.  The eight are Jonathan Padgett, Henry E. Lackey High; Emma Albrittain, La Plata High; Rosalyn Warren, Maurice J. McDonough High; Christopher Chamblee, North Point High; Caitlynn Watson, Thomas Stone High; and Paige Cephas, Westlake High.  All plan on attending Maryland schools.

This year’s awards were based on need, community service, scholastic standing, and career ambitions, with a special emphasis on Careers Helping the Community.
