The Hospice of Charles County met with the Charles County Delegation today to ask our support for a bond bill to assist them in building a hospice facility. At present they have no permanent home and are hampered in both providing service and fundraising. This group is especially worthy of our assistance. They help families in the most distressing of times and try to ease both pain and anxiety for their patients and their loved ones.

Hospice of Charles County is very important to the citizens of Charles County. I don’t know what I would have done without their support and assistance durring my Mother’s illiness and death. They provide a vital part to patient’s and family members caring for loved ones. People need to be made aware of them before they need them. I am not one to ask for help often, but after 24/7 caring for my Mother, they were just to good to be true. Please fight to keep this program alive!
I understand that the bond bills will be heard in Appropriations on 3/14 and 3/16. Hopefully, this request will be approved. You can’t measure the value of Hospice to the Community in simply dollars.
